Why should a business or business professional join a networking group like BRN??
A local referral group, like BRN, can help you build stronger relationships, increase visibility, and create more consistent word-of-mouth opportunities within the local community. For many businesses, being active in a Shawnee networking group offers a valuable way to stay connected to the community while growing trust and recognition. Imagine this, a room full of established businesses and individuals already doing great business with trusted client base across town, and they start referring you within your industry. That's the power of a solid network!
What makes BRN different from other networking groups?
BRN of Shawnee is focused on meaningful local relationships, professional trust, and helping members support one another in a practical way. Rather than simply handing out business cards, members have the opportunity to become part of an engaged referral network rooted in the Shawnee community. We genuinely want to get to know you, your business, and goals, then we help you meet those goals. One network, one group, working together.
Do I have to attend meetings regularly?
Regular participation helps members get the most value from BRN. Showing up consistently allows others to get to know your business, understand your ideal referral, and build stronger trust over time. We ask that all members aim to limit their yearly absences to 12 per year. However, for certain circumstances, extended leave may be granted by the board officers. Each member can also send someone in their place up to 6 meetings and that doesn't count towards the overall yearly absences.
Is BRN only for established businesses?
Not at all. BRN can be valuable for both newer businesses and more established professionals who want to grow their local presence and build stronger referral relationships in Shawnee.
Can nonprofit organizations or community professionals join BRN?
Depending on membership availability and category needs, BRN may be a good fit for nonprofits, service organizations, and community-focused professionals who want to stay connected and build local partnerships. If you would like to contact us, we can help answer any additional questions you may have about membership.
