BRN of Shawnee recently hosted a fun and welcoming Membership Open House that gave guests the chance to experience what makes this local business networking group so special. With great food, community spirit, laughter, and real business conversations, the event was a strong reflection of what BRN is all about.
A big thank you goes to Todd Tramel with AE Funeral Services for helping bring the event together. Todd was gracious enough to open up his business space to our group and host the morning party. Their location offered a refreshing setting that helped make the event feel both comfortable and memorable.
We also want to give a big shoutout to The Farmer’s Daughter Market for providing breakfast. A good breakfast always helps bring people together, and it was the perfect addition to a morning focused on connection and community.

A Fun Way to Experience BRN in Shawnee
BRN open house events are a great opportunity for local business owners, professionals, and community members to see the group in action. Rather than simply hearing about BRN, guests get to experience the energy of the room, meet members, and learn how referral-based networking works in a genuine and relationship-driven setting.
This event was filled with personality from start to finish. From costumes and prizes to confetti and conversation, the morning struck a great balance between fun and purpose. Although we had some fierce competition in the costume department, we want to give a big congratulations to Leslie Merritt with Webspinups, who took home the Halloween Costume Contest win with her Franken-bride costume. Moments like that are part of what make BRN events so memorable.
At the same time, the heart of the event was still connection. BRN continues to be a place where local businesses build trust, support one another, and create opportunities through real relationships. That is what makes this networking group stand out in Shawnee and throughout Pottawatomie County.

More Than Networking, It Is Community
What makes BRN different is that it is not just about passing out cards or making quick introductions. It is about building friendship, unity, and trust among local professionals who want to see one another succeed.
That spirit was easy to see at the open house. Guests were welcomed in, members showed up with enthusiasm, and the entire event felt like a reminder that business growth can happen in a way that is both productive and enjoyable.
BRN regularly hosts open house events and community-friendly gatherings like this one, giving prospective members and local guests a chance to connect and learn more. If you have been looking for a business networking group in Shawnee, this is one of the best ways to get a feel for what BRN offers.
